Enkar- Ancestral Herd
THE CHEVAROS (Also known as the UNICOS)
The mysterious horned equines, able to appear and disappear at times. This is due to their ability to step out of the normal flow of time and space. Very little was known about the Chevaros/Unicos except those humans known as the Thunder Riders who bonded telepathically with some of the herd. These Unicos then left the herd to live with the humans, but occasionally they will take 'vacations' to return to the Ancestral Herd. No being but the Chevaros have ever seen the Ancestral Herd.
Chevaros have all white coats that range from a pearlescent to pastel tints, but always predominately white. They also have a distinctive horn growing from between the ears or eyes, location varies with each individual. The Chevaros are always associated with purity, truth and goodness. It is said only the true and noble of heart are able to bond mentally with them.
The Ancestral Herd exists in a rather 'Brigadoon-style' Valley. This is why no one has ever seen the Herd. One must be able to travel through time and space to arrive at the Valley. Any mare or stallion of the Chevaros that is returning for a visit must step into the Veil of the Void and await permission from the Herd Stallion for entry.
